Shade awning fabric is widely used in many aspects of daily life, but there are many PVC materials factory on the market, and the quality of each shade awning fabric product is also very different. If you don’t know much about shade awning fabric, it is difficult to distinguish between them. Good or bad, from which performance characteristics to judge the quality of shade awning fabric?
Air permeability: Shade awning fabric must consider its air permeability, especially for military tent fabrics. Factors affecting air permeability include base fabric structure, density, material, type of waterproof finishing agent, resin adhesion amount, etc. As the amount of resin adhesion increases, the air permeability of the shade awning fabric decreases. Of course, this is related to the finishing agent used. Generally, most breathable tents are made of short-dimensional fabrics such as cotton, nylon, and lacquer treated with paraffin or acrylonitrile resin.
Tensile strength: Shade awning fabrics must bear various tensions during use, such as tension when fixed; they must be subjected to additional forces such as wind, rain, and provinces during use. Despite these external forces, they are still required to maintain their original shape and not easily deformed, which requires the shade awning fabric to have a high tensile strength, and there should not be too much difference in warp and weft tensile strength. Especially the tensile strength of large tents used as inflatable buildings is extremely important!
Dimensional stability: As eaves tents and large tents, they are often used under tension. The elongation of the fabric should not be too large, and its dimensional stability is determined by the creep characteristics of the material. Rainproof cloth is widely used for covering vehicles, boats, factories and mines, outdoor tourism, and other purposes. It has the characteristics of anti-sun, anti-freeze, anti-aging, anti-corrosion, light, easy to fold, and durable!
Tear strength: The damage of shade awning fabric is mainly caused by tearing, so tear strength is an important indicator of the shade awning fabric. Tear strength is related to whether the shade awning fabric will be broken due to the action of flying foreign objects or expand around after forming holes for some reason, forming large structural cracks. So, when the tension is high. Not only requires the tarpaulin to have high tensile strength, but also requires it to have relatively high tear strength!
Water resistance: Water resistance is an important characteristic of the shade awning fabric. Through dipping and finishing, vinyl chloride resin is filled in the gaps of the fabric tissue to form a coating film. If the amount of resin adhesion per unit area exceeds one of these levels, water resistance is not a problem. If the coating film is thin, it is easy to crack when subjected to bending, soft rubbing, or surface abrasion (a basic type of component failure), which may cause water leakage!
Flammability prevention: From the safety of use, the shade awning fabric is required to have better flame retardancy. Flame retardancy can be obtained by selecting flame-retardant fiber and flame-retardant base cloth. It can also be achieved by adding flame retardant to the coating agent. The amount of flame retardant added has a direct relationship with the flame retardant effect!
